Base salary: £70,000 - £100,000
Highly competitive discretionary bonus

Overview
An established and rapidly growing Global Macro Hedge Fund management firm is seeking a Junior Trade Assistant to join its Front Office support function in London. This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious operations or middle office professional looking to work directly alongside Portfolio Managers and Traders in a highly complex, multi-asset trading environment.
The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across discretionary and systematic investment strategies while supporting trade lifecycle activities, P&L processes, portfolio monitoring, and investment operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Book and maintain trades across multiple asset classes including: OTC Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Listed Derivatives, Options and structured products
- Monitor trading activity and investigate booking discrepancies.
- Daily P&L production, validation and analysis.
- Maintain portfolio and risk trackers across investment strategies.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders and Operations teams to ensure trade accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives across the investment and operations teams.
- Gain exposure to areas such as FX hedging, trade execution support and broader portfolio management activities over time.

Candidate Requirements
- Max 1-3 years' experience within:
- Trade Support
- Trade Assistant
- Middle Office
- Product Control
- Investment Operations
- Strong experience booking trades across multiple asset classes.
- Experience supporting daily P&L processes.
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle.
- Experience supporting complex investment products and trading strategies.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to interact directly with Front Office stakeholders.

Preferred Experience
- Buy-side or hedge fund experience.
- Exposure to Global Macro, Multi-Asset or Multi-Strategy investment environments.
- Knowledge of OTC derivatives, options or other complex financial instruments.
- Experience using Enfusion or similar OMS/PMS platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- VBA and/or Python proficiency.
- Experience working with data and automation tools.
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a leading university.
- Strong academic track record throughout education.
