Trader - Agricultural Commodities
Location: Lincolnshire
Contract Type: Permanent
Our client is a national grain marketing and arable inputs co-operative owned by British farmers, supplying grain to major food and drink brands across Britain. They are seeking a Trader or Junior Trader to join their commercial team in Colsterworth, offering the opportunity to develop your career in agricultural commodities trading within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Position Overview
You will join an established trading team, developing commercial relationships and creating opportunities across global grain markets and food supply chains. This role focuses on sales and trading within the agricultural sector, contributing directly to the co-operative's mission of supporting British farming and food production.

Responsibilities
- Develop strong commercial relationships internally and externally
- Identify and create trading opportunities
- Support sales activities across grain markets
- Contribute to team objectives and business challenges
- Manage trading activities within global supply chains
Requirements
- Experience in the agricultural industry or supply chain
- Previous trading or sales experience (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT literacy (MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Self-motivated with a positive, adaptable attitude
- Confident relationship-building and problem-solving abilities
- Strong work ethic and resilience
- Commercial understanding and team collaboration skills
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent
- Available to work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
