About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fixed Income Trader to join our growing electronic trading business. This role focuses on real-time execution oversight, principal book management, spread adjustments, and escalation management within our automated framework. The trader will work closely with the Head of Fixed Income Electronic Trading, the High-Touch Desk, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure smooth execution across both low-touch and designated high-touch orders.

While focused on fixed income electronic trading, the trader will also trade high touch order flow.

Key Responsibilities

Execution Oversight & Escalation

  • (Order Rejection Management): Monitor low-touch electronic fixed income orders routed via automated systems, intervening when auto-generated alerts, trade breaks, or execution failures occur.
  • Manage designated high-touch orders (e.g., above defined thresholds or during outages), executing directly or coordinating with the High-Touch Desk.
  • Escalate connectivity or execution issues to the Head of FI ET and Technology teams while executing manually where required until resolution.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
