Role Overview

As a Discretionary Trader for this firm, you would be working as part of a collaborative team of analysts, traders, and PMs on pure discretionary and semi-systematic strategies. You would be working with the QRs to help leverage the high-tech systems as tools for your work. They currently run strategies ranging across equities, Rates, credit, and Commodities, as well as several other asset classes.

  • Running your own and your team's book.
  • Monitoring and hedging trades.
  • Collaborating with other traders and QRs to evaluate and create trading strategies.

Qualifications and Skillset Required

  • Educational background in a Mathematical or Finance background (Mathematics / Statistics / Engineering / Computer Science / Finance).
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience either through internships or full-time opportunities in Trading desks.
