Trading Performance & Commercial Insight Manager
Are you a commercially minded analyst who can turn data into clear business insight? We're looking for a Trading Performance & Commercial Insight Manager to help drive growth, profitability and performance across our Marine & Leisure business.
In this highly visible role, you'll work closely with senior leaders across underwriting, distribution, marketing, finance and operations to provide meaningful insight that supports better decision-making. You'll own trading performance reporting, marketing effectiveness analysis and business planning support, ensuring stakeholders have the information they need to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the trading performance framework across Marine & Leisure products, with a particular focus on schemes and direct business.
- Deliver weekly and monthly trading reports, highlighting key trends, opportunities, risks and performance against plan.
- Analyse new business, renewals, retention, premium growth, conversion rates, pipeline performance and portfolio mix.
- Develop forward-looking insight using business performance data, pipeline information and market intelligence.
- Partner with underwriting, distribution and marketing teams to identify and implement trading actions that improve results.
- Own reporting governance, data quality standards and management information controls.
- Drive automation and reporting improvements to increase efficiency and speed of insight.
- Lead analysis of marketing performance, measuring return on investment across campaigns, channels and product lines.
- Connect marketing activity to customer acquisition, conversion, retention and profitability outcomes.
- Support forecasting, planning, scenario modelling and strategic business initiatives.
- Prepare analysis and recommendations for senior leadership meetings, portfolio reviews and commercial decision-making forums.
- Present complex information in a clear and commercially relevant way to a wide range of stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in commercial analysis, business insight, trading performance or management information roles.
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets.
- Experience producing senior-level management information, trading packs and performance reporting.
- Strong understanding of commercial drivers including sales performance, customer retention, profitability and portfolio management.
- Experience assessing marketing performance, campaign effectiveness and return on investment would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge, influence and partner with senior leaders.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on delivering practical, commercially valuable outcomes.
- Experience within insurance, financial services or a regulated environment would be beneficial.
