Trading Assistant

London | Global Brokerage | Front Office Exposure

Get Closer to the Trading Desk

If you're currently working in Trade Support, Middle Office or Operations and want to move closer to the trading floor, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for. We're recruiting a Trading Assistant to join the London office of a leading global brokerage. You'll work directly alongside experienced traders, supporting live trading activity every day across multiple asset classes in a fast-paced, institutional environment.

This isn't a traditional operations role where you're removed from the action. You'll sit close to the trading desk, become involved in the day-to-day flow of the markets and gain exposure that few operational roles can offer.

For someone with ambitions of progressing onto a trading desk in the future, this is an exceptional platform to build your career.

What You'll Be Working On

You'll support trading activity across a range of institutional products including:

  • Interest Rate Swaps (IRS)
  • Foreign Exchange (FX)
  • Fixed Income / Bonds
  • Listed Derivatives (Futures & Options)

Working closely with traders, clients, banks and prime brokers, you'll gain exposure to the complete trade lifecycle while developing an excellent understanding of how global financial markets operate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
