Trading Assistant – Global Markets

London | Trading Floor | Full-time

Build your career at the heart of the markets

We are looking for a Trading Assistant to join a leading financial markets business in London, working directly alongside brokers on the trading floor and supporting activity across global markets.

This is an opportunity for someone with a background in middle office, trade support or financial markets operations who wants to get closer to the desk, the products and the people driving the market.

You won't be sitting remotely from the action. You'll work in a fast-paced trading environment, partnering directly with brokers and execution teams and gaining hands-on exposure across Interest Rate Swaps, FX, Bonds, Futures & Options and other derivative products.

If you're commercially minded, thrive under pressure and want to develop your markets knowledge while working alongside experienced brokers, this could be an excellent next step.

The role

As a Trading Assistant, you'll become an integral part of the trading floor, helping ensure trades move accurately and efficiently from execution through to settlement. You'll work closely with brokers throughout the trading day, supporting live trading activity, resolving issues and coordinating with institutional clients, banks, prime brokers and operations teams.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
