Your mission

As our new Trading Lead, you will own the development and execution of Awaze's annual, quarterly and weekly trading plans across our customer-facing brands. Working at the heart of our commercial organisation, you'll bring together Pricing, Marketing, CRM, Finance, Product, Contact Centre, Supply, Distribution and Partnerships to turn strategy into coordinated trading activity that delivers measurable commercial results.

By combining data-driven insight with strong cross-functional leadership, you'll help maximise bookings, revenue, occupancy, conversion and profitability while ensuring the business can respond quickly to changing market conditions and customer demand.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and deliver the annual trading plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.
  • Translate long-term strategy into quarterly trading plans that prioritise promotions, campaigns and commercial activity around key booking and arrival periods.
  • Coordinate weekly trading plans, ensuring priorities, ownership, dependencies and deadlines are clearly understood across the business.
  • Partner with Pricing, Marketing, Supply and other stakeholders to develop compelling trading events that increase customer engagement, bookings and revenue.
  • Monitor daily and weekly commercial performance, identifying opportunities, risks and trends across bookings, margin, occupancy, conversion and channel performance.
  • Develop contingency plans and practical trading toolkits that enable the business to react quickly when performance deviates from plan.
  • Use customer, market and competitor insights to inform trading decisions and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing to optimise the customer journey, improve conversion and increase direct-channel performance.
  • Lead post-event trading reviews, capturing learnings and embedding continuous improvement into future trading activity.
  • Drive an effective briefing process across Pricing, CRM, Finance, Contact Centre, Distribution, Supply and Partnerships to ensure seamless execution of trading priorities.
  • Manage the trading backlog by balancing commercial value, urgency, capacity and delivery dependencies.
  • Work closely with Commercial Finance to ensure trading activity delivers compelling customer propositions while protecting margin and cash flow.
  • Align direct and indirect channel plans with Distribution and Partnerships to ensure a consistent and effective commercial approach across the portfolio.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
