Trading Operations Junior Analyst
Location: London
Jain Global is an innovative multi-strategy investment firm founded in July 2024 by Bobby Jain with over 400 employees operating from offices in New York, Houston, London, Singapore, and Hong Kong. We are looking to add to our growing teams.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and intellectually curious Trading Operations Junior Analyst to join our London team. This is a rare opportunity to join a leading global hedge fund and build a career in trading operations from the ground up. We’re looking for an ambitious graduate or school-leaver who is eager to gain hands-on experience across the full trade lifecycle and multiple asset classes in a fast-paced trading environment.
From day one, you’ll work closely with Traders, Portfolio Managers, and external counterparties, developing a practical understanding of how a sophisticated global investment platform operates. No prior industry experience is required — what matters is strong numerical ability, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine drive to learn, take ownership, and develop quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the trading platform across multiple asset classes, including trade, position, and cash reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve trade, settlement, and cash discrepancies, working with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Develop a strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, allocation, confirmation, settlement, and exception management.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, as well as Finance, Operations, Prime Brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.
- Monitor settlement activity, corporate actions, margin movements, financing events, and other market-driven operational activity.
- Assist with portfolio and NAV reconciliations and contribute to the firm's daily operational controls.
- Analyse operational issues, identify their root causes, and help develop more efficient and scalable solutions.
- Look for opportunities to automate manual processes and improve workflows, using technology and data wherever possible.
- Support new account onboarding, product launches, and projects that expand the capabilities of the trading platform.
- Develop an understanding of operational and trading risks and ensure issues are identified, communicated, and resolved quickly.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
