Tempest Vane Partners have partnered with a global multi-strategy hedge fund who are looking to hire a Trading Reliability Engineer for their systematic trading business here in London.
The role will encompass both production support and engineering for their low latency trading platforms, ensuring strong reliability and stability of the platforms by building automation and monitoring tooling across the technology stack. You will work directly with quant researchers, portfolio Managers and other front office users so prior experience working in a similar role within a systematic trading environment is required.

This is a fast-paced role where you will supporting many different asset classes and trading desks within their systematic business. To be considered a good fit, extensive experience supporting low latency trading applications is required, alongside strong engineering and automation skills.
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of experience supporting systematic trading systems for a hedge fund, quant trading firm, investment bank or similar
- Strong troubleshooting skills across application and system behaviour in a Linux environment.
- Extensive coding and scripting skills for building infrastructure and automating operational tasks
- In depth knowledge of monitoring, observability, alerting, incident management, and root cause analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
