My client, a Tier 1 global proprietary Hedge Fund, are looking to hire an experienced Software Engineer to join a specialised systematic trading team.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of software engineers to design and develop the full stack required to run a fully systematic, multi-asset trading business trading around the clock across global markets.
Alongside your engineering work, you will be expected to gain an intimate understanding of the business and work directly with quantitative researchers daily, translating high-level requirements into robust systems. The role has a strong trade infrastructure focus, spanning trading systems, market data connectivity, execution algorithms, research infrastructure, monitoring and observability tooling, and integrations with the firm's core services.

Candidates should bring strong initiative and a proven track record of independently driving engineering projects to completion, while working comfortably across a close-knit team of engineers and researchers.
Requirements:
- +5 years of professional software development experience in Python
- Demonstrable experience building complex, mission-critical systems that are maintainable and safely refactorable
- Working knowledge of type safety and type systems
- Experience developing high-availability, distributed systems with tight latency constraints
- Solid understanding of computer networking, related technologies and their trade-offs
- Practical knowledge of fundamental statistics and numerical methods
- Experience writing software within the trading domain
- Strong problem-solving ability, with the initiative to take ownership of technical projects and deliver solutions independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside both fellow software engineers and quantitative researchers
