Traffic Controller – Permanent Opportunity

Automotive Site – Coleshill, Birmingham

£28,500 - £33,000 per annum

Pertemps are recruiting experienced Traffic Controllers for a leading automotive company based in Coleshill, Birmingham.

This is a permanent full-time position offering long-term job security following a successful interview. We are looking for confident, proactive individuals who have previous experience controlling vehicle movements and can communicate effectively with drivers and customers on a daily basis.

  • Mornings: 05:30 – 14:00
  • Afternoons: 13:30 – 22:00
  • Nights: 18:00 – 06:00

The Role

  • Control and coordinate vehicle movements safely and efficiently
  • Manage traffic flow across a busy automotive site
  • Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams
  • Resolve issues quickly using initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Identify hazards and take proactive action to maintain safe operations

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience as a Traffic Controller / Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Movement Controller is essential
  • Experience managing vehicle movements in a busy environment
  • Confident dealing with drivers and customers daily
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear instructions
  • Ability to make quick decisions and remain calm under pressure
  • Reliable, proactive, and safety-focused approach
