Traffic Management Control Centre Operator

Location: Solihull

Hours: 30 hours per week (shift-based)

Contract: Part-time

SRL Traffic Systems is transforming traffic control through REMOS, our market-leading remote monitoring solution. From our secure control centre, we help improve road safety, reduce disruption, and optimise traffic flow across regional networks.

Due to continued growth, and exciting expansion plans for 2026, we’re looking for a steady and decisive, tech-savvy Control Centre Operator to join our REMOS team in Solihull.

What you’ll be doing

As a REMOS Control Centre Operator, you’ll play a vital role in keeping traffic moving safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring live traffic conditions using cameras, mapping software, and real-time data
  • Identifying congestion, incidents, and potential issues early
  • Responding quickly and decisively to maintain safe traffic flow
  • Communicating clearly with colleagues and clients
  • Analysing traffic data to support continuous improvement
  • Provide general administrative support

You’ll work 30 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days, alternate 7.00am-13.00pm and 13.00pm-19.00pm.

What we’re looking for

We’re keen to hear from people who enjoy working with live systems and data in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Strong IT and computer skills (experience with live systems, monitoring, or gaming environments is a plus)
  • The ability to stay calm and make decisions under pressure
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Control room, monitoring, or operations experience (desirable but not essential)
