About The Role
Sapphire Utility Solutions is seeking a Night Depot Manager for our Traffic Management workstream on our Thames Water contract. You will work alongside the Thames Water Night Manager to ensure operations run smoothly during the nights so the transition to the day teams is effective while ensuring SLAs are met. For the role, you will split your time during the week between both Reading and Kidlington depots, and a company van will be provided for travel.
Location: Reading and Kidlington (travel between the two sites)
Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9pm-7am)
Salary: £42,000-£45,000 per annum
Responsibilities - But Not Limited To
- Carry out daily and nightly handovers with the Reading and Kidlington Depot Managers
- Allocating all jobs after 5pm
- Completing both depot On Hire Off Hire Logs
- Night Operative Audits
- Monitoring the email inbox and Big Change to ensure no SLAs are missed out of hours and late bookings for the next day to be allocated
- Accurate time booking in so data can be caught in real time
- Main light switch outs to be emailed to the relevant supervisor or planner and also to the councils/highways
- Monday to Friday 16.00 to 21.00 OOH phone to be manned by existing OOH Manager roster
- Saturday & Sunday Out of Hours as per Managers Roster (1 in 8 weeks)
- Night MOS Audits
- Health & Safety welfare calls to nights Operatives
- Supply diversion routes to operatives
- Creating new jobs on Big Change so as Operatives receive in real time

Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role
- You must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Confident in systems and functions
- Experience of leading and supervising a team
- To hold NRSWA accreditation
- LANTRA 12ABCD
- Holding a minimum of M6
- Knowledge of permit schemes
