Job Description: LANTRA M5 Traffic Management Operative
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated LANTRA M5 Traffic Management Operatives to undertake quality, safe setups and manual controls in various environments across London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire.
(We are prepared to consider LANTRA M1/M2 operatives too but at the rate of £13.25 basic and £16.10 overtime)
The role involves managing traffic, maintaining equipment, and communicating effectively with team members and the public. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where pride in your work and safety awareness are paramount.
Duties
- Setup of traffic management sites for 12D works, primarily temporary traffic lights and road closures.
- Dismantle traffic management setups in a timely and safe fashion.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on traffic management setups to ensure proper compliance.
- Manage the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians around work sites or event areas.
- Assist with battery changes and light swaps.
- Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and the public regarding traffic arrangements.
- Undertake daily paperwork using our bespoke app.
- Respond promptly to any safety concerns or emergencies on site.

Skills
- Strong management skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in maintenance of traffic management systems.
- Valid driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues, clients, and the public.
- Organisational ability to plan routes, manage resources, and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations related to traffic management operations.
