About the Role
Due to continued growth and the integration of our East and West London operations, we are looking for an experienced and organised Traffic Management Scheduler to join our Operations team in West Drayton.
Our Scheduling team plays a key role in the day to day running of the business, coordinating a large and constantly changing programme of traffic management works across London and other regions.
This is a fast paced operational role where priorities can change quickly. You will be responsible for making sure we have the right operatives, vehicles and resources allocated to the right jobs, while working closely with Project Managers, and other departments to keep the operation running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and allocating daily and future works to Traffic Management Operatives.
- Ensuring operatives are allocated efficiently based on qualifications, experience, location, availability and working hours.
- Maintaining and updating the operational schedule throughout the day as jobs are added, changed, extended or cancelled.
- Planning ahead to identify potential resource shortages or clashes before they become operational problems.
- Coordinating operative availability, annual leave, sickness, overtime and other resource requirements.
- Working closely with Project Managers to understand upcoming workload and client requirements.
- Coordinating agency labour when additional resources are required.
- Ensuring accurate operative and agency information is recorded against each job.
- Communicating schedule changes clearly and promptly to everyone affected.
- Supporting the allocation of vehicles and other operational resources where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring scheduling information is kept fully up to date.
- Helping resolve last minute operational issues and finding practical solutions when plans change.
- Supporting the wider Operations team to ensure jobs are properly resourced and delivered as planned.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy operational environment.
You will need:
- Previous experience in Traffic Management, scheduling, resource planning or operational coordination is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational and forward planning skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions when circumstances change.
- Good geographical knowledge of London and the surrounding road network would be beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with operatives, supervisors, managers and agencies.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, and Outlook.
- A practical and proactive approach to problem solving.
- The ability to remain calm and organised when dealing with last minute changes or operational pressure.
