TRAFFIC MARSHAL

Select Plant Hire

Multiple Locations Across the UK

Select Plant Hire is looking for experienced Traffic Marshals to join our teams on major infrastructure and construction projects across the UK.

As part of our directly employed workforce, you'll play an important role in ensuring the safe movement of vehicles, plant and personnel on site whilst benefiting from excellent training, development and long-term career opportunities.

Key Duties

  • Safely manage and control the movement of vehicles and plant equipment on site.
  • Direct delivery vehicles and site traffic to designated areas.
  • Ensure pedestrian and vehicle segregation is maintained.
  • Communicate clearly with drivers, plant operators and site personnel.
  • Maintain safe access and egress routes around the site.
  • Monitor site traffic management systems and report any issues.
  • Assist with the implementation of traffic management plans.
  • Report hazards, near misses and safety concerns promptly.
  • Follow approved safe working methods, risk assessments and site procedures at all times.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working as a Traffic Marshal or in a construction environment.
  • Good understanding of site safety requirements and traffic management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy site environment.
  • Proactive approach to health and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, responsible and safety focused.
  • Willingness to support continuous improvement and development initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Banksman Qualification
  • CSCS Card

  • CPCS Plant and Vehicle Marshaller (A73)
  • Experience working on major infrastructure projects
