Traffic Signals Installer - Field Based - Traffic equipment & Lighting

Location: St Albans

Salary: Competitive + Overtime + Company Vehicle + Benefits

Are you an experienced Traffic Signals Installer looking for your next challenge? We're expanding our team in St Albans and have three opportunities for skilled installers to join one of the UK's leading intelligent traffic solutions providers.

At SWARCO, you'll work on a variety of projects that keep people and communities moving safely every day. From installing new traffic signals and pedestrian crossings to upgrading intelligent transport systems, no two days are the same.

If you enjoy working outdoors, solving problems, taking ownership of your work, and delivering high-quality installations, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Installing and commissioning traffic signals and urban traffic technology.
  • Delivering projects safely, on time, and to a high standard.
  • Managing your own work on site and ensuring a professional handover to customers.
  • Working closely with project teams to identify and report any changes to project scope.
  • Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and quality.
  • Representing SWARCO professionally on customer sites.

Qualifications

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing a great job, and always puts safety first.

You'll ideally have:

  • Sector 8 Accreditation (including NRSWA, G39, and ECS).
  • Experience working on traffic signal installations or similar electrical infrastructure.
  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • A good understanding of traffic signal installations and equipment.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail.
