Marsh

Description:

Marsh Portfolio Solutions (MPS) is a dynamic, client-centric practice within Marsh UK, responsible for placing and managing innovative portfolio placement solutions on behalf of Marsh Specialty Practices. Our team of 50 specialists provides intermediary services to insurer clients, including sophisticated management information and innovative placement structures.

We are looking for a confident, articulate Trainee Account Manager to join the team and work alongside the Quota Share (QS) Team. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day administration of QS-eligible risks under Quota Share agreements, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded and processed. You will work closely with Casualty / Specie / FinPro Practice brokers and Facility Insurers, supporting stakeholder engagement, delegated authority audits, compliance activities, and performance reporting. This collaborative role requires strong attention to detail, stakeholder management skills, and a proactive approach to meeting contractual KPIs and SLAs.

For this role we’re happy to consider trainee-level applicants (e.g., recent graduates, school leavers, as well as those who are perhaps looking for a change in career).

This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to work three days a week in the Norwich office.

We will rely on you to:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day communications with brokers and designated clients (Facility Insurers), following up on correspondence.
  • Work to strengthen and grow account relationships between MPS and the Facility Insurers.
  • Provide Casualty / Specie / FinPro QS Facility process training for Marsh broker colleagues.
  • Address escalated issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner, help manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks, and apply judgment as to when to escalate major issues to senior colleagues ensuring operational compliance.
  • Develop an understanding of client businesses by conducting research, providing industry or other analysis.
  • Provide support in the day-to-day management of designated accounts, preparing electronic submissions and facilitating the placement of risks via Marsh’s designated online platform, Whitespace.
  • Present Facility performance analysis to our Facility Insurers.
  • Report to senior colleagues on relationship satisfaction to ensure a mutual understanding with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a fluency in Marsh's and Facility Insurer’s products, colleagues and operations to enrich work performed and develop improved capabilities for our clients.
  • Support senior account managers on larger initiatives, complex accounts and ad hoc requests.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
