Trainee Account Manager Manchester / Cheshire | Hybrid Working
£25,000–£30,000 Basic Salary + Commission

Our client is a growing and ambitious business looking for a Trainee Account Manager to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with customers, and working in a target-driven environment.
You'll receive structured training, ongoing coaching, and support from experienced account management professionals, with clear opportunities to progress as your skills and experience develop.
The Opportunity
As a Trainee Account Manager, you'll work closely with customers to understand their requirements, build strong commercial relationships, and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts.
You'll learn how to manage the full customer journey, from initial conversations and onboarding through to ongoing relationship management and account development.
This is an ideal role for someone who is personable, commercially minded, organised, and motivated by achieving results.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Act as a key point of contact for allocated clients.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Manage customer enquiries and provide a high level of service.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and develop existing accounts.
- Follow up with customers to maintain engagement and identify future opportunities.
- Support the wider sales team with new business and account development activity.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information within the CRM.
- Monitor account performance and work towards individual revenue targets.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive an excellent experience.
- Participate in regular training, coaching, and development sessions.
- Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales and performance targets.

Previous experience in sales, account management, recruitment, customer service, retail, hospitality, or another customer-facing environment is beneficial but not essential.
