Our operations are organised into three distinct divisions: Landscape Products, Building Products, and Roofing Products.

Our Finance team does far more than manage the numbers. As trusted business partners, we provide the insight, governance and financial expertise that help drive strategic decisions, support investment and deliver sustainable growth across the business.

We're looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in helping us build tomorrow's world.

So, what’s the role?

Your focus will be to support in lease set up and system reconciliation, ensuring information is up to date and fully reconciled in line with the current accountancy standards (IFRS16). Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including detailed account analysis and timely submission through Blackline, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Also, supporting month-end close activities by preparing and posting financial journals and completing ERP system administrative tasks in line with GAAP requirements.

In this dynamic role you will provide day-to-day support to the PRC team by responding to ad hoc queries via the PRC ticketing system, including supplier bank detail updates and maintenance of delegation of authority records. Work closely with operational stakeholders, contributing to accurate management accounts and providing reliable financial information to support business decision-making. Acting as a system administrator for the Blackline reconciliation platform, maintaining system setup, controls, and documentation used across the finance function.

What skills are required?

We think this job would suit someone who has some previous work experience in a finance role.

  • Actively studying CIMA, ACCA, or AAT qualified
  • Good excel skills: Pivot tables, conditional formatting, charts, and Vlookups
  • Able to communicate and discuss accounting terminology in a way non-finance stakeholders will understand
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines particularly around accounting periods
