Job Type: Full-time

We have an exciting new position for a trainee accountant to join our friendly and professional team this summer. We offer an excellent study package and full support towards achieving an ACCA qualification.

This is a great opportunity to join one of Oxfordshire’s leading accountancy practices.

This is a varied role and will offer exposure to all areas of accountancy and tax, which is essential for career development and to excel in your studies.

Responsibilities
As this role is for a trainee position, full training and support will be given to enable you to develop for a long-term career within accountancy. The following work will be included in the role:

  • Producing full sets of accounts for limited companies and sole traders
  • Preparing working papers and reconciliations for the accounts file
  • Preparing corporation tax computations
  • Preparing personal tax computations
  • Using client software for bookkeeping and reporting
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Payrolls
  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Liaising with and building good working relationships with clients

Requirements

  • Relevant work experience would be great but not essential as full training will be given
  • Must be seeking a career in accountancy
  • Numerically minded and good with numbers
  • Positive and confident individual
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Hard working and committed to supporting the firm and our clients
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Highly motivated individual
