Location: Motherwell

Hours: Full-Time

To provide administrative and basic accounting support to the finance team while developing knowledge and experience within an account’s environment. This is an entry-level role suitable for someone looking to start a career in finance and accounting where full training will be provided on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing purchase invoices
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Support the reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Assist with data entry into accounting systems.
  • Help process customer invoices and receipts.
  • Record and allocate payments received from customers.
  • Support credit control activities by highlighting any issues to your line manager
  • Respond to supplier and customer queries in a professional manner.
  • Support month-end accounting activities as required.
  • Carry out general administrative duties for the finance department.
  • Ensure confidentiality of financial information at all times

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Good attention to detail.

As this role will involve day to day interaction with both site and Group Management, you should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a positive and proactive attitude to managing a high volume of work and conflicting priorities calmly and effectively.

Excellent IT skills including proficiency in all MS Office applications particularly MS Excel is also essential. Knowledge of Keyloop Autoline and a background in the motor trade, though not essential, would be a distinct advantage.
