Trainee ACP -Cardiology post

Provide direct clinical care through health assessment, the appropriate use of diagnostic tests, interpretation of diagnostic tests, initiation of treatment, formulation and alteration of treatment and monitoring of care programs with a high degree of autonomy.

Facilitate the development of clinical practice through research and education of the multi-disciplinary team.

Evaluate care through quality assurance initiatives and assessment of clinical outcomes.

Be an expert resource for other healthcare practitioners.

Ensure that the highest standards of clinical care are delivered.

The post holder will ensure the maintenance of clinical excellence with an awareness of local and national policies and guidelines.

The post holder will provide specialist clinical leadership within this area of care and will lead and develop specialist education.

The position of the ACP- Cardiology is dynamic and the post holder will be proactive in developing this role in response to healthcare needs and advances in practice. The post is intended to provide improved outcomes for patients by enhancing services, quality and direct provision of care. The post holder will be expected to exercise a high degree of personal professional autonomy and make critical judgements to satisfy the expectations and demands of the role.
