NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC)

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in the United Kingdom, employing approximately 40,000 staff across a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million people, and to a wider population of 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner (tANP) within Inverclyde HSCP Primary Care ANP Service. This post is offered under Annex 21 arrangements and is designed for a registered nurse who is committed to developing advanced clinical practice skills while undertaking education towards a Master's qualification in Advanced Practice. As part of an innovative Single Point of Access model, the successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality, safe, person-centred care to patients across a wide range of clinical presentations. The role involves developing expertise in advanced assessment, diagnosis, treatment, clinical decision-making and leadership, while supporting health promotion and helping people maintain independence within their communities.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met. If the preferred candidate is appointed on Annex 21 terms, the role will not be eligible for Sponsorship.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

This is a Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner post aligned to Annex 21 arrangements until successful completion of the required educational programme and demonstration of the competencies required for Advanced Nurse Practitioner practice

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
