Role Description
The Trainee Assembly Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in Southam, supporting the production and assembly of commercial kitchen ventilation components and systems. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Assembling metal canopies and ductwork
- Preparing parts
- Following technical drawings or work instructions
- Using basic hand and power tools under supervision
The role involves:
- Checking completed assemblies for quality
- Assisting with packaging and preparation for dispatch
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace in line with company procedures
The Trainee Assembly Worker will work closely with experienced team members, receive on-the-job training, and follow health and safety guidelines at all times. This position is suited to individuals who enjoy practical work, are willing to learn, and can contribute reliably to a small, specialist manufacturing team.

Qualifications
- Ability to follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and standard operating procedures accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude, including safe use of hand tools, simple measuring devices, and workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with a focus on producing accurate and safe assemblies.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
- Willingness to learn, accept supervision, and develop skills through structured on-the-job training.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to maintain a tidy, safe working environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, handle materials, and perform manual tasks safely.
- Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a workshop environment is beneficial but not essential.
- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety principles; formal training is an advantage.
