Trainee Bird Proofing Technician
Salary: £28,000 per annum

Are you practical, hardworking, and looking to build a long-term career? Cleankill Environmental Services are seeking a Trainee Bird Proofing Technician to join our friendly and successful team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning new skills, and being part of a professional team. No previous pest control experience is required, we provide full training, ongoing support, and clear opportunities for career development.
As a van-based technician covering London and the South East, you'll work alongside experienced professionals, learning how to install bird proofing systems and help protect commercial and residential properties from bird-related issues.
About the Role
As a Trainee Bird Proofing Technician, you will assist with the installation of a variety of bird proofing solutions, including:
- Bird netting systems
- Bird spikes
- Post and wire systems
- Other exclusion and deterrent measures

You'll gain hands-on experience working on a range of buildings and structures while learning safe working practices, including working at height and using specialist access equipment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting experienced technicians with the installation of bird proofing systems
- Preparing work areas and ensuring sites are safe and ready for installation
- Transporting and handling tools, equipment, and materials
- Learning to identify bird activity, nesting locations, and access points
- Recording completed work, materials used, and site observations
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Participating in training and development programmes to build your technical skills
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn. You don't need previous industry experience, but you should be:
- Reliable, hardworking, and eager to develop new skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Confident working at height or willing to learn
- Physically fit and capable of carrying equipment and materials
- A good communicator who works well as part of a team
- Organised, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
- Committed to delivering excellent customer service

Essential Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- DBS check will be carried out as part of the application process
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in construction, maintenance, roofing, pest control, or a similar hands-on environment
