Overview

Fuel Recruitment is working with a growing telecommunications organisation that is looking for a Training Business Development Manager to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious sales professional looking to develop a career within business development and training services.

Working remotely with occasional travel throughout Wales, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and promoting a range of training solutions to organisations across the region. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, commercially aware, and eager to develop their sales career within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive outbound sales activity, networking, and lead generation.
  • Promote and sell the company's training courses and learning solutions to businesses across a range of sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline management using CRM systems.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high-quality customer experience and successful training delivery.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry functions as required.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs.

Key Skills / Experience

  • Previous experience in a sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident engaging with decision-makers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Commercially minded with a passion for business development.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within Wales when required.
  • Experience within training, education, telecoms, or technology sectors would be advantageous but is not essential.
