Responsibilities

Description of the Department

The Prime Services business provides global execution, clearing and financing solutions to a wide range of customers across multiple regions and asset classes.

The GBTO teams provide operational and IT support services to the global business covering activities such as client lifecycle management, global execution services, trade settlement and clearing, reconciliations, collateral management, payments, risk management and fees. Main processing hubs are in London, Chicago, Bangalore and Chennai, and a smaller presence in Paris and Asia.

All roles at Société Générale CIB are expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to effective risk assessment and management, sound judgement, and speaking up when noticing behaviours or outcomes creating unintended risk. You will be expected to operate with integrity, manage risk proactively in day-to-day activities, log and escalate issues promptly and constructively, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and self-accountability.

Summary Of The Key Purposes Of The Role

  • To assist the Global Transformation & Business Manager of Prime Services & Clearing (PSC) Ops & IT with the coordination, governance, reporting, and execution of the transformation portfolio across the PSC organisation.
  • To act as PMO support for strategic and transformation initiatives, ensuring effective planning, reporting, action tracking, governance, and stakeholder communication across multiple projects and workstreams.

To assist the management team with other responsibilities such as:

  • Administrative coordination, management reporting, and business support activities.
  • Town halls, engagement events, communications, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives.

Summary Of Responsibilities

  • Produce ad hoc management reports, presentations, and analysis to support decision-making by senior management.
  • Support annual planning exercises and budget monitoring activities as required.
  • Provide PMO support across a portfolio of transformation and strategic initiatives, including project planning, milestone tracking, governance, and reporting.
  • Organise and support town halls, leadership meetings, and employee engagement activities.
  • Draft and distribute communications on behalf of the management team, including newsletters, announcements, presentations, and event materials.
  • Assist with general business management and administrative activities to support the effective running of the Prime Services & Clearing Ops & IT organisation.

Profile required

Competencies

  • The ability to assimilate knowledge quickly, an inquiring mind and an eye for detail, a sense of responsibility coupled with a sense of urgency.
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, initiative, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel. Good working knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence, collaboration, and AI-powered tools (e.g. Power BI, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Copilot and other generative AI solutions). Demonstrated interest in applying AI to automate routine tasks, improve data analysis, enhance reporting, and support project management activities.
  • Demonstrated risk mindset: proactive identification and escalation of risk, sound judgement under pressure, and willingness to speak up and challenge constructively
  • Demonstrate a strong risk culture by balancing commercial objectives with sound judgment and client outcomes
