An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Trainee Buyer on a 12 month fixed term contract who is looking to commence a career within the aerospace supply chain sector.
The successful individual will join our team of committed people, supporting a busy and fast-moving environment.
Training and growth will be underpinned with on-the-job training and mentoring in all aspects of purchasing and delivering supply chain performance.

With development the role requirements will include:
- Performing routine day-to-day activities associated to supply chain service requirements, which include administration and expedition of purchase orders and services required.
- Managing MRP requirements to satisfy production schedules and implementation of appropriate recovery plans. Shortage reporting and resolution.
- Negotiating with suppliers to obtain optimum price and lead times to meet business requirements.
- Liaising with customers/ suppliers to respond to routine queries regarding contract and supply chain issues.
- Providing input to project meetings to answer questions concerning contract/supply chain matters.
- Monitoring and measuring process performance through generation of regular and accurate management information/reports as required.

- The ability to build excellent relationships
- The ability to draft standard letters and responses
- Proficient use of MS applications
- Good verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
- ‘Lateral’ thinker – someone who can find solutions for problems and ‘think outside the box’
