Description

We are looking for a full-time Trainee Claims Adviser to join our growing Goods in Transit Claims Team based in Fradley, Lichfield. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The successful applicant will join an experienced and supportive claims team handling Goods in Transit claims for a major client across the UK and Europe. You will manage claims from first notification through to settlement, ensuring all required information and evidence is obtained while keeping stakeholders updated throughout the process.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading global organisation that puts its people and clients at the heart of what it does.

Previous claims or insurance experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We are very happy to consider entry-level candidates who demonstrate the right skills, attitude and an interest in developing a career within insurance. Spanish-speaking skills would be advantageous but are not essential.

Key Responsibilities

We will rely on you to:

  • Manage Goods in Transit claims from first notification through to settlement.
  • Review and assess supporting evidence to determine the appropriate claims outcome.
  • Interpret relevant policy terms, conditions and contractual liability.
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurers, customers, suppliers and other interested parties.
  • Work towards fair and cost-effective claim settlements for our client.
  • Meet agreed standards for accuracy, service, productivity and client SLAs.
  • Effectively case manage claims and contribute towards resolving complex or contentious issues.
  • Maintain accurate claim records and provide clear updates throughout the lifecycle of a claim.
  • Contribute positively to continuous improvement within the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
