Trainee Claims Executive - 12 month FTC
Location: London, EC3M
If you have recently graduated with a degree including a marine or nautical element – Oceanography, Law, Engineering, Naval Architecture and many others… you could be our next trainee!

The role:
As a Trainee, you will assist the Claims Executives generally and you will be introduced to and practice in the following areas:
- Claims handling process in marine and insurance law and maritime business
- P&I Rules
- Handling a caseload of P&I Club matters
- Investigate, analyse, assess, negotiate, and resolve P&I
- Work alongside senior staff to assist on more complex claims in order to build experience
- Learn about policies and procedures of the UK P&I Club as well as IT applications
- Gain understanding of other departments such as underwriting, loss prevention, management, and finance, and other TM businesses
- Regularly attend internal training events as well as some external events
- Develop productive relations with Members through claims handling and assistance with account management tasks

Person Specification:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated graduate who is eager to learn. A team-player who is willing to muck-in is essential. You must have an excellent communication style, with the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
