We are looking for Class 1 drivers who wish to upskill and gain their ALLMI crane accreditation. If you're fed up of the high volume multidrop runs, sick of hauling cages or freezing in fridges, this would be the role for you

As a Trainee Crane driver, you will start on our Flatbed operation while undertaking your training. This will offer a trainee rate of £41,258 per year until you pass your ALLMI. Don’t worry, we won’t be waiting around, we will hopefully have you accredited within 8 weeks. As soon as you have completed training and start on our crane work your salary will receive a boost to £46,346! You will also be eligible to holiday pay, huge high street discounts and a good pension package with lots more benefits on offer!
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- You will be safely driving our brand-new HGV Class 1 Vehicles in a courteous and professional manner.
- Complete mechanical offloads delivering brick products on artic crane or drawbars with HIAB cranes.
- Making sure all goods are in a good condition, strapped/restrained correctly before commencing journeys.
- Delivery sites will include new build housing sites, construction sites, green areas, and builders merchants.
- You will need to be flexible as the role involves nights out and confidently driving different vehicles as required by the operation.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Full UK driving licence (with CE entitlement) with a valid CPC & Digital Tacho card
- No Crane experience necessary – we will train you to achieve a ALLMI brick grab accreditation
- No more than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
- Great knowledge of the UK roads nationally
