Gravesend | £26,000–£30,000 + Commission | No Insurance Experience Required
Are you a confident salesperson or telemarketer looking for a proper long-term career rather than simply another sales job?
Do you have the ambition, work ethic and determination to succeed in a professional industry where your knowledge, responsibilities and earning potential can continue to grow?
We are working with a rapidly growing, family-owned independent insurance broker based in Gravesend. The business specialises in commercial insurance, helping companies protect themselves against a wide range of risks, and has particular expertise within the construction sector.
Due to its continued expansion, they are looking for an ambitious sales professional who can be trained and developed into a successful Commercial Insurance Sales Executive.
Previous insurance experience is not required. What matters most is that you already have at least one to two years’ experience in sales, telemarketing or a similarly target-driven position and can demonstrate the right attitude to build a career within insurance.
The opportunity
You will be provided with training and support to develop your knowledge of commercial insurance, while putting your existing sales skills to immediate use.
They can provide plenty of leads, so a major part of your role will involve contacting prospective clients, asking the right questions and converting genuine enquiries into new business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
