Marketing Communications promote and protect the company's brand, engage key audiences, and support business growth through effective marketing, communications, events, and stakeholder engagement activities.
We have a position on a fixed term contract for one year to support the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of internal and external events while developing the skills, knowledge, and experience required to become an effective Events Planner. The role provides an opportunity to learn all aspects of event management, including administration, logistics, stakeholder communication, budgeting, and on-site event delivery, ensuring a positive experience for attendees and contributing to the achievement of business objectives.
Key Tasks
- Support the planning and coordination of trade shows, customer events, town halls and corporate events.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and event partners to confirm requirements and bookings.
- Process purchase orders, invoices, and expense records related to events.
- Coordinate event materials, equipment, name badges, and promotional items.
- Assist in preparing event communications, invitations, registration materials, and attendee information.
- Support presenters, exhibitors, and attendees throughout the event.
- Assist in resolving logistical issues promptly and professionally.
- Respond to participant enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage event logistics, registrations, suppliers, venues, travel arrangements, and materials.
- Coordinate speakers, agendas, and event communications.
- Support internal communications related to events and engagement activities.
- Assist with content updates for intranet, website, and social media channels.
- Prepare presentations, event materials, and promotional assets.
- Provide administrative support for communications and marketing projects.

- Previous experience through internship or work experience in a Marketing Department working on Events would be advantageous.
Requirements
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
Education
- GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English & Mathematics.
- Ideally – A-Level/BTEC/NVQ/Degree, or equivalent in Event Management/Business Administration/Marketing/Communications.
Personal Skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Positive and customer-focused attitude.
