Company Description
Canter Holland Ltd is a privately owned firm that provides high-quality financial advice to private individuals and corporate clients. We help clients manage their finances and provide long-term and sustainable solutions so that they can fulfil their objectives and help them achieve their financial aspirations. We work with both private and corporate clients and we build long-term relationships that we expect to last for generations to come.
We are looking for somebody to join our team of Financial Advisers, working on a collaborative basis to manage our client relationships and work together as a team. We avoid a 'silo' approach where individual advisers do their own thing and effectively create companies within the company.
You will work with our advisers to be taught the job of delivering a first-class service to our clients. Our client meetings are carried out in person or via videoconference and will always be delivered by at least two advisers, one to conduct the meeting and one to take notes. After all client meetings, there is a detailed debrief with the team to make sure that we are all in the picture and deliver the best possible service to our clients.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
