St. James’s Place is the UK’s leading advice-led wealth management organisation. We are recruiting Trainee Financial Advisers to join our flagship development pathway for individuals who want to retrain into a professional career in financial advice.
This opportunity is specifically designed for people with existing professional experience across any industry, who are looking to transition careers. We are looking for people who are ambitious, motivated, and hoping to achieve a long-term career with genuine progression and earning potential.
We're looking for people who are able to:
- Engage with and develop strong professional relationships with clients.
- Be passionate about providing holistic financial planning to clients.
- Build long-lasting, trusted relationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Act with integrity and professionalism.
- Excel in strategic planning and regulatory compliance providing true financial advice to clients.
- Develop rapport to gain an accurate understanding of client circumstances and objectives.
- Focus on best practice and delivering positive client outcomes and experience.

Ideally, you will have:
- A background in wealth management, banking, financial services or client-facing roles.
- A minimum of 3 years' professional experience, ideally in client facing environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Level 4 qualified (DipFA, IAD, CISI or equivalent) or committed to working towards Level 4 Diploma Status.
How we will support you:
Successful applicants will be assessed for entry into St. James’s Place’s Adviser development pathway.
Support includes:
- A fully funded professional development programme, providing training and support required to achieve your Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning.
- If you hold a Level 4 Diploma, we will support you in achieving CAS, if not yet attained.
- Practical exposure to real client work and long-term progression.
- Support from the UK’s leading wealth management organisation.
- Employed and Self Employed opportunities.
