Trainee Flexographic Print Operator

📍 Southampton (Full Time, On-Site)
£35,000 starting salary → £41,700 on completion of training
12-hour shifts | 4 on / 4 off
Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK

About the Role

SIVA Group is looking for a Trainee Flexographic Print Operator to join our production team in Southampton.

This is an entry-level, hands-on role offering the opportunity to train in a skilled area of print manufacturing. No previous flexographic printing experience is required, and freshers and graduates are welcome to apply. Full structured training will be provided.

Working alongside our experienced print team, you’ll learn how to set up, operate and adjust advanced flexographic printing machinery, developing the practical skills and technical knowledge needed to become a skilled Flexographic Print Operator.

If you enjoy working with machinery, learning practical skills and seeing a high-quality finished product come off the production line, this could be a great opportunity to build a long-term career in printing and manufacturing.

  • Setting up and operating advanced flexographic printing machinery
  • Understanding the flexographic printing process from set-up through to finished product
  • Working with different inks, materials and substrates
  • Understanding colour and maintaining consistency throughout a print run
  • Monitoring print quality and identifying potential issues
  • Making machine adjustments to maintain quality and production standards
  • Following production, quality and safety procedures
  • Working alongside experienced operators to develop your skills and confidence

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need previous printing experience. We’re looking for someone with the right attitude and an interest in developing practical, hands-on skills.

You’ll ideally be:

  • Interested in machinery, manufacturing and hands-on work
  • Keen to learn and develop a skilled trade
  • Practical, attentive and comfortable working in a production environment
  • Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality
  • A good team player
  • Reliable and willing to learn from experienced colleagues
  • Interested in building a long-term career within printing and manufacturing

Training and Career Progression

You’ll receive full structured training to help you develop the practical and technical skills required to become a confident Flexographic Print Operator.
