About The Role
Are you an experienced Site Supervisor, skilled tradesperson or construction professional looking to take the next step in your career?
Come and join us at Balfour Beatty we’re looking for a Trainee Foreman to join our South Coast Regional Civils team, working across projects in the Ringmer area. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills, broaden your site experience and work towards becoming a fully-fledged Foreman within one of the UK’s leading infrastructure businesses.
As a Trainee Foreman, you’ll work closely with our experienced site management team, gaining hands-on experience in the day-to-day delivery of civil engineering projects. You’ll play an important role in coordinating site activities, supporting our workforce and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
What you'll be doing
As a Trainee Foreman You Will
- Supporting the Foreman and Site Management team in the day-to-day running of construction activities.
- Supervising and coordinating site operatives and subcontractors.
- Helping to plan and organise labour, materials, plant and equipment.
- Ensuring work is carried out safely and in line with approved RAMS.
- Monitoring progress and reporting any issues or delays to the site management team.
- Supporting quality inspections and ensuring work is completed to the required standards.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Building positive relationships with site teams, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
- Developing your knowledge of construction methods, programmes and site management.

Who we're looking for
You Will Have The Following
- Experience working of working on site
- A good understanding of construction site practices and processes.
- Experience supervising or coordinating teams would be advantageous.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and quality.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to take responsibility.
- The ambition to develop into a Foreman and progress your career with Balfour Beatty.
