Trainee Forklift Instructor – Full Training Provided

Are you looking for a career in Vocational Training?

Do you hold a valid forklift certificate – Counterbalance/Reach and have at least 2 years’ experience driving in a warehouse environment?

If you can answer YES to the above, then we want to hear from you!

What we are offering:

  • An initial training period, where you will have the opportunity to shadow our highly experienced instructors in our training centre, this will provide you with an insight into the role and what will be expected of you.
  • Attendance on a 10-day RTITB Instructor course to gain your full qualification to be able to teach independently.
  • Attendance on a 5-day ITSSAR Instructor course to enable you to train under a 2nd accreditation.
  • CPD - we invest in your professional development, constantly adding to and updating your qualifications.

Your required skills:

  • Good level of education.
  • Competent forklift operator, with at least 2 years’ experience of working within a logistics/warehouse function.
  • Ability to work in a flexible manner, adapt to different environments and solve problems independently.
  • Strong team player who is confident and personable.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Enthusiasm and a great attitude.
  • Patience and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and accept guidance.
  • Willingness to learn and take pride in a job well done.
  • Full driving licence (essential).

Preferred Skills:

  • Highly organised with the ability to work on own initiative with little supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, including customers, colleagues and trainees of all levels.
  • Proficient working knowledge of office IT systems including MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Flexible approach to work activities to meet customer requirements.
  • Good levels of administration in maintaining documentation.
  • Maintain a professional appearance which appropriately reflects the role and the Company’s image.
  • Ability to remain calm and be assertive when handling challenging situations.
  • Diplomatic and discreet with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
