We're looking for a motivated Trainee Geotechnical Site Operative to join our team. No previous geotechnical experience is required—we'll provide full training to help you build a rewarding career in ground investigation.
Working alongside experienced operatives, you'll assist with ground investigations for construction and engineering projects, developing the skills to progress into a Lead Geotechnical Site Operative.
We're looking for someone who is:

You'll be trained to:
- Assist with borehole drilling, trial pits, soil sampling and in-situ testing
- Collect laboratory samples and complete site records
- Drive company vehicles and identify underground services safely
- Work in accordance with RAMS, risk assessments and company procedures
- Operate borehole rigs, dynamic probes, mini piling equipment and excavators (where licensed)
- Carry out CBR, plate bearing and BRE 365 infiltration testing
- Undertake drainage CCTV surveys and concrete core drilling
- Manage digital site records (iAuditor), lead site investigations and supervise junior operatives

Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence. Due to our current vehicle insurance policy, applicants must be aged 25 or over and have held their full UK driving licence for a minimum of 3 years.
