About The Role

Pertemps Daventry is recruiting a Trainee/ Graduate EMC Test Technician to join a specialist provider of Electromagnetic Compatibility testing for the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors. Based in Silverstone, this permanent position offers a salary between £26,000 and £28,000 per annum, with full training provided by experienced professionals. You will work within a modern laboratory, testing items ranging from individual electronic components to complete vehicles.

What We're Looking For

  • Soldering experience
  • A good understanding of electrical and electronic components
  • A keen interest in developing a technical career
  • Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn

Key Responsibilities (Full Training Provided)

  • Carry out EMC testing accurately and efficiently, ensuring work is completed to the required standards and timescales.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and test cables.
  • Ensure the laboratory and test areas are clean, organised and safe.
  • Check that the latest documentation is available before testing begins.
  • Accurately record test results in line with ISO 17025 and internal quality procedures.
  • Report any inconsistencies relating to documentation, equipment or testing procedures.
