Role Description
The Trainee GRP fettler/finisher will work full time on-site at the company’s facility in England, United Kingdom. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Trimming, sanding, and finishing GRP (glass reinforced plastic) mouldings
- Ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications
- Using hand and power tools
- Following work instructions
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Supporting more experienced team members in the finishing process

The trainee will receive guidance and training in GRP finishing techniques, safe handling of materials, and efficient production methods, while contributing to the timely completion of customer orders.
Qualifications
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely and accurately, with good practical and manual skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, including careful inspection of finished parts and compliance with instructions.
- Willingness to learn GRP fettling and finishing techniques, with a proactive approach to training and skills development.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks in a workshop environment.
- Reliable timekeeping, strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment; willingness to follow all safety procedures.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or a similar hands-on role is beneficial but not essential.
- GCSEs or equivalent in core subjects (such as English and Mathematics) are advantageous, along with a readiness to follow written and verbal instructions.
