Job Description

Trainee Class 1 HGV Driver – Fully Funded Training

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious driver to join Frontier's professional Bulk Fleet on a permanent, full-time basis.

If you currently hold a Category B (Car) or Category C (Class 2) licence and are ready to take the next step in your driving career, we'll support you in gaining your Category C+E (Class 1) licence through our fully funded Driver Development Programme.

At Frontier, we're more than just a haulage company. You'll become part of a team of professional drivers who are at the heart of our business, with ongoing support, continuous development and a clear career pathway within our Bulk Fleet.

Following the successful completion of your training, you'll join our Class 1 driving team, operating our fleet of next-generation DAF XG and XF trucks. Our vehicles are equipped with premium features designed to maximise driver safety, comfort and convenience, including:

  • Built-in fridge
  • Microwave
  • Upgraded mattress
  • Inverter
  • CB radio
  • Loading camera and weigher with in-cab display
  • Park air cooling system
  • 360-degree cameras
  • Digital mirror system

We invest heavily in our drivers through continued training, wellbeing initiatives and career development, alongside opportunities to earn performance-related bonuses.

As part of this role, nights out will be required during your working week, depending on operational requirements.

About You

We're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are committed to building a long-term career as a professional HGV driver.

You'll have:

  • A full UK Category B (Car) or Category C (Class 2) driving licence
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with colleagues
  • A professional approach to customer service
  • A strong commitment to health, safety and compliance
  • A reliable and flexible approach to work

Your Future Role

Once you've successfully completed your Category C+E training, you'll transport product between Frontier locations, farms, stores, docks and customer sites across the UK.

You'll play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and compliance, becoming an integral part of Frontier's highly skilled Bulk Fleet.
