We're expanding our team in St Albans and have exciting opportunities for Trainee Traffic Signals Installers to join one of the UK's leading intelligent traffic solutions providers.
At SWARCO, you'll learn from experienced professionals while working on projects that help keep people and communities moving safely every day. From installing new traffic signals and pedestrian crossings to supporting the delivery of intelligent transport systems, you'll gain valuable skills and industry-recognised training in a growing sector.

What you'll be doing
- Assisting with the installation and commissioning of traffic signals and urban traffic technology.
- Learning how to deliver projects safely, on time, and to a high standard.
- Supporting experienced engineers and installers on customer sites.
- Developing practical electrical and installation skills through on-the-job training.
- Following health, safety, and quality procedures at all times.
- Helping to ensure projects are completed professionally and efficiently.
- Representing SWARCO positively and professionally on site.

Profile
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys practical work, and takes pride in doing a great job.
You'll Ideally Have:
- A keen interest in electrical, construction, or engineering work.
- Good practical and problem-solving skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
- A full UK driving licence (or be working towards obtaining one).
- Previous experience in construction, utilities, electrical work, or a similar hands-on environment would be beneficial, but is not essential.
