About The Role

Level: 2

Department: Investment Management

Location: Leicester (Hybrid)

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated individual who is excited by the prospect of building a long-term career in investment management. This is an opportunity to join a growing investment team and work directly alongside experienced Investment Managers, gaining hands-on exposure to portfolio construction, client relationships, investment research and wealth management. You will be given responsibility, encouraged to contribute ideas and supported in developing the skills required to become a fully-fledged Investment Manager.

As your knowledge, experience and qualifications progress, you will take on increasing responsibility for portfolio implementation, rebalancing and client servicing.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, demonstrates initiative and is willing to challenge themselves in pursuit of professional development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to study for industry qualifications, with a clear pathway towards becoming an Investment Manager.

This role would suit someone who is intellectually curious, commercially minded and keen to build a successful career within one of the UK's leading discretionary investment management firms.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
