Ready to build a career that supports some of the UK’s biggest construction projects? Igne Group is seeking a Trainee Laboratory Technician to join its Construction Materials Testing Division in Daventry. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to begin a hands-on career in construction materials testing - no prior experience required.
As a Trainee Laboratory Technician you will be carrying out tests on a range of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt, while accurately completing test sheets and entering data onto tablets. The position of Trainee Laboratory Technician also requires regular communication with senior staff to coordinate work schedules and ensure that testing procedures are followed correctly.

Key Responsibilities:
- Testing various construction materials e.g., soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt
- Completion of test sheets and data entry onto tablets
- Liaise with senior members of staff on work schedules and testing procedures
- Work within in-house quality assurance systems
- Maintain high levels of health and safety in line with company policies

Your Qualifications:
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
About You:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Manual handling and physical activity are daily requirements - samples can weigh in excess of 15kg
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to organize your own workload
- Confidence in working in a team environment
