Role Description

The Trainee Lettings Negotiator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Reading. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the lettings team with property viewings
  • Liaising with prospective tenants and landlords
  • Assisting in the negotiation of tenancy terms
  • Updating property listings
  • Managing enquiries
  • Ensuring accurate documentation is prepared and maintained

The Trainee Lettings Negotiator will also help coordinate move-ins and renewals, provide high-quality customer service, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the lettings department. Training and guidance will be provided to develop professional skills within residential lettings and estate agency.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with landlords and tenants
  • Interest or basic knowledge in estate agency and property management, including landlord/tenant matters
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced on-site environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail
  • Proficient IT skills, including use of email, property databases, and standard office software
  • Willingness to learn, positive attitude, and a professional, reliable approach to work
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly beneficial for attending property viewings
  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles or property-related environments is an advantage but not essential
