A.W. Parry Lifts Ltd is an established, British-owned lift engineering company with over 20 years of experience providing lift services throughout the South West of England. We specialise in lift maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, new installations and 24/7 breakdown cover. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Lift Engineer to join our experienced team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in engineering while gaining valuable practical experience and working towards a recognised NVQ Level 3 qualification in Lift Engineering.

🔧 The Opportunity

As a Trainee Lift Engineer, you will work alongside one of our experienced Senior Engineers, gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of lift engineering activities. You'll have the opportunity to learn about the installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of lifts while developing the practical and technical skills needed to become a qualified Lift Engineer.

The traineeship is fully paid and provides a structured route into the lift engineering industry.

Working hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm
  • 39 hours per week

Upon successful completion of your NVQ Level 3, you will be offered the opportunity to progress into a full-time, permanent position with A.W. Parry Lifts Ltd.

👷 What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely interested in developing a career in engineering. You should have:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A–C (or equivalent), including Maths, English and Science
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • A proactive approach to work and learning
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A hard-working and reliable approach
  • A genuine eagerness to learn and develop within the lift engineering industry
  • A willingness to work alongside experienced engineers and learn on the job
