We’re looking for a motivated and analytical Trainee to join our Maritime Industries team in London, where you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting high-value international transactions and working with industry-leading professionals.
This is a unique opportunity to develop financial and commercial expertise within a specialised sector that plays a critical role in global trade—and is at the forefront of the transition to more sustainable infrastructure.
About The Team
You’ll be joining a collaborative, international team focused on delivering financing and advisory services to clients across the maritime sector.
Our work includes:
- Financing vessels and offshore infrastructure
- Advising on complex debt transactions
- Supporting strategic initiatives such as decarbonisation and sustainable shipping
You’ll gain exposure to a truly global business.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Trainee, you’ll be involved in a wide range of activities across the transaction lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting live transactions
- Assisting with structuring and execution of financing deals
- Preparing materials for internal approvals and client discussions
- Supporting documentation review and deal closing processes

- Building and reviewing financial models
- Analysing company financials and transaction performance
- Assessing profitability and key risks
Research & market insights
- Conducting industry, client, and market research
- Preparing regular updates on market trends and funding conditions
Client & stakeholder support
- Creating presentations and marketing materials
- Supporting client meetings and pitches
- Working closely with internal teams across functions
Portfolio monitoring
- Tracking performance of existing transactions
- Supporting reviews and reporting requirements

What we’re looking for
We’re interested in candidates who are curious, driven, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll need:
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related subject
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- A genuine interest in finance and global markets
- Exposure to corporate finance, banking, or infrastructure sectors
- Interest in maritime, energy, or sustainability topics
